Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Novi, MI is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for a multimodality role (CT and general X-ray) on nights. This full-time 40-hour per week position offers a sign-on bonus of up to $7,500 and allows either five eight-hour shifts or four ten-hour shifts. The role involves imaging, patient positioning, safety, and PACS workflow across CT and X-ray modalities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date; ARC CPR accepted but to be replaced by BLS from AHA upon renewal.
• Cardiographic Tech credentialed from CCI and/or Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from ARRT obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Responsibilities

• Positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
• Implements radiation protection and safety standards.
• Prepares, performs and assists the physician in special and advanced procedures.
• Prepares and administers contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Helps position patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
• Ensures all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.
• Ensures prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS.
• Assists in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department.

Job Description

Up to $7,500 Sign-On Bonus

Shift: Nights, FT 40 hours per week, either five eight hour shifts (10:30pm-7am) or four 10 hour shifts (9pm-7:30).

This is a multimodality position and will include both CT and general X-Ray scanning.

Performs a variety of radiographic procedures used in the diagnostic treatment of illness and injuries.

• Positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
• Implements radiation protection and safety standards.
• Prepares, performs and assists the physician in special and advanced procedures.
• Prepares and administers contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Helps position patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
• Ensures all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.
• Ensures prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).
• Assists in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Certification/Licences Required

• BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. American Red Cross (ARC) CPR for Professional Rescuers card will be accepted upon hire but renewal must be a BLS Provider card from AHA. -
• One or more of the following required: Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
