Job summary

Medlinkhealth Anesthesia Associates is seeking an experienced X-Ray/CT Technologist for a temporary contract in the Bad Axe, MI area. The role involves performing diagnostic X-ray and CT scans in emergency, inpatient, and outpatient settings while ensuring patient safety and high-quality imaging.

Shifts are 12 hours, primarily day 6:00 AM–6:30 PM with at least one night shift per week; every 3rd weekend; no on-call requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in X-Ray and CT procedures.
• Active ARRT registration is required.
• AHA BLS Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, emergency, and specialized X-ray and CT procedures.
• Operate digital, mobile, and bariatric-capable imaging equipment.
• Process and transmit studies through PACS for radiologist review.
• Prepare patients, explain positioning, and ensure comfort and safety.
• Follow radiation safety and imaging protocols.
• Communicate with physicians and radiology staff.
• Prioritize procedures based on patient needs and urgency.

Position Overview:

Seeking an experienced X-Ray / CT Technologist for a temporary contract assignment in the Bad Axe, MI area. The technologist will perform diagnostic X-ray and CT procedures in emergency, inpatient, and outpatient settings while providing safe, high-quality patient care.

Weekend & Call Requirements:

Every 3rd weekend (6:00 AM - 6:30 PM) | No on-call requirements

Shift 12-Hour Shifts (Primarily Day Shifts 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM, with at least one Night Shift 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM per week)

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine, emergency, and specialized X-ray and CT procedures.
• Operate digital, mobile, and bariatric-capable X-ray and CT equipment.
• Process and transmit imaging studies through PACS for radiologist review.
• Prepare patients for procedures, explain positioning, and ensure patient comfort and safety.
• Follow radiation safety and imaging protocols.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, emergency department staff, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Prioritize imaging procedures based on patient needs and clinical urgency.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in both X-Ray and CT – Required
• Active ARRT registration – Required
• AHA BLS Certification – Required
• Experience performing imaging procedures in hospital or acute care settings.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Philips and Siemens imaging equipment.
• Previous travel or contract assignment experience.
• Recent specialty skills checklist.

Schedule:

• 12-hour shifts.
• Day Shift: 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM.
• Night Shift: 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM.
• At least one night shift per week.
• Every 3rd weekend.
