Job summary

Munson Healthcare in Gaylord, MI, invites you to join its Urgent Care team as a Radiologic Technologist. You will register patients, verify demographics and insurance, operate radiographic equipment, and capture diagnostic images following department protocols.

This role supports clinical procedures, handles administrative tasks, and collaborates with a safety-focused team to ensure accurate documentation and patient care in a busy outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Must have passed or is eligible for the examination of the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiography. Continued employment is contingent on certification by the ARRT within six months.
• Maintains BLS certification with biannual renewal

Responsibilities

• Patient Registration & Care: Register patients, verify demographics, room patients, obtain vitals, explain procedures, and enter data into the EHR.
• Radiologic Imaging: Safely operate radiographic equipment, prepare patients and supplies, perform diagnostic imaging, and evaluate image quality per protocols.
• Clinical Procedures: Perform waived laboratory testing, venipuncture, EKGs, urine drug screens, and breath alcohol testing; assist providers with minor procedures.
• Administrative Support: Answer phones, process referrals, order stock, obtain prior authorizations, and scan documentation into the EHR.
• Safety & Teamwork: Follow OMH policies to promote patient and staff safety and maintain accurate documentation.
