Job summary

UF Health in Jacksonville seeks a Multi-Modality Technologist qualified to perform a minimum of two imaging modalities (MRI, CT, diagnostic ultrasound, IR, radiation therapy, mammography or Nuclear Medicine). The role requires on-call coverage for the modalities and a commitment to patient-centered care.

The candidate should be credentialed in at least two radiology modalities with appropriate licensure or certification.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of radiographic procedures and practices.
• Communicates exams/procedures to patients.
• Knowledge of computer software and ability to troubleshoot.
• Familiar with imaging equipment and all other patient care equipment.
• Maintenance of competency in a minimum of two modalities.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-call coverage for two or more radiology modalities.
• Perform at least two modalities (MRI, CT, diagnostic ultrasound, interventional radiology, radiation therapy, mammography, or nuclear medicine).
• Support additional modalities as needed on a routine basis.
• Uphold patient-centered care and standard radiology practice.

Overview

The Multi-Modality Technologist is qualified/credentialled to perform at a minimum of two (2) MRI, CT, diagnostic, US, IR, Radiation Therapy, Mammography or Nuclear Medicine procedures. This position must support the second or additional modalities on a routine basis by being available to work in the modality and must be able to provide on call coverage for these modalities as needed by the modality. Strives to provide patient centered care. Upholds the standard of practice of a registered technologist.

Qualifications

Age of Patients Served:All Age Groups.

Required Education:REQUIRED EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED

Specific course work: Graduate of an accredited Radiology discipline.

Preferred Education:Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology.

Necessary Skills:

• Knowledge of radiographic procedures and practices.
• Communicates exams/procedures to patients.
• Knowledge computer software and ability to trouble shoot.
• Familiar with imaging equipment and all other patient care equipment.
• Maintain competency in a minimus of two modalities.

Required Licensure/Certifications:BLS Certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Credentialed, certified, or licensed in a minimum of two (2) different Radiology modalities through the state, ARRT, NMTCB, ARMRIT, or ARDMS.

Required Experience:1-2 years of Clinical Radiology Experience.
