Mercyhealth is seeking a Radiology Technologist for night and weekend shifts at Javon Bea Hospital - Riverside in Rockford, IL. The role covers MRI, CT and general radiography duties, ensuring patient safety and high-quality imaging.
Graduate of an accredited radiography program; ARRT Radiography and CT certification required; 2–4 years hospital experience preferred. This position involves patient preparation, contrast administration, and collaboration with radiologists and staff.
Schedule: Nights, Weekends
Shift: Friday-Sunday, 9p-9a, holiday and call rotation

Pay Range: $35.85-53.77

Graduate of an accredited radiography program
Two to four years of experience as a technologist as a Radiographer is required. Experience in a hospital environment preferred
ARRT registered in Radiography and CT required with the ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT credential required
Two to Four Years experience in CT and one year in MRI
Hospital experience preferred
IEMA-DNS radiography accreditation required if working in Illinois
WI-DSPS radiographer license required if working in Wisconsin
BLS/CPR required within 90 days of hire
Passing the Driver’s License Check and/or Credit Check (for those positions requiring).
Passing the WI Caregiver Background Check and/or IL Health Care Workers Background Check.
Must be able to follow written/oral instructions.
Experience in working with radiologic technologists, radiologists and support staff in a multimodality department
Proficiency in mentoring employees and providing corrective action appropriately
Experience in obtaining departmental accreditation
Ability to communicate in a friendly and effective manner
Demonstrated ability to foster excellent teamwork in a radiology department
Strong organizational skills with ability to work independently
Read/comprehend written and verbal instructions
Basic PC skills
Manage stress appropriately
Make decisions under pressure and handle multiple priorities
Manage anger/fear/hostility/violence of others appropriately
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles and risk of radiation.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
