Job summary

Dauch Corporation is seeking a General Production Operator to support diverse manufacturing lines, operating press, furnace, heat treating, coating, saw, and lathe equipment. The role emphasizes safety-first practice, high-quality results, and multi-machine operation in a fast-paced plant environment.

The position requires basic manufacturing knowledge and a high school diploma or GED. The operator will participate in quality systems, 5S housekeeping, and material traceability while utilizing

Qualifications

• Understanding of manufacturing processes and daily operation.
• Knowledge of material handling and quality criteria.
• Awareness of safety issues and ability to troubleshoot.
• Ability to read micrometers, calipers and gauges for quality measurement and SPC.

Responsibilities

• Operate all press room equipment and maintain run rates and quality standards.
• Use micrometers, calipers, and gauges to perform SPC charting and maintain quality systems.
• Utilize Plexus software for operations tracking and data entry.
• Demonstrate understanding of material traceability, including tags and heat numbers.
• Operate a hi-lo and/or overhead crane in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Adhere to quality systems and follow deviations only when directed by supervision or quality technicians.
• Uphold 5S standards for a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.
• Identify and respond to safety concerns to maintain a zero-injury environment.
• All other duties assigned.
