Job summary

Dauch seeks a General Production Operator to maintain seamless operations across multiple manufacturing lines, including press, furnace, heat treating, coating, saw, and lathe lines. The role emphasizes safety and delivering high-quality results through multi-machine operation.

Ideal candidates will operate various equipment, monitor quality using SPC tools, and adhere to 5S standards while ensuring traceability and timely data entry in Plexus.

Qualifications

• Understand the manufacturing process, daily operation, material handling, quality criteria, safety issues.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues that arise on the production floor.

Responsibilities

• Operate all press room equipment and maintain run rates and quality.
• Use micrometers, calipers, and gages for SPC charting and quality control.
• Utilize Plexus software for operations tracking and data entry.
• Demonstrate understanding of material traceability including tags and heat numbers.
• Operate a hi-lo and/or overhead crane in a fast-paced environment.
• Adhere to quality systems and follow deviations only when directed.
• Uphold 5S standards for a clean, organized workspace.
• Identify and respond to safety concerns to maintain a zero-injury environment.
• All other duties assigned.
