Job summary

Summit Interconnect in Orange, CA is seeking a Drill Operator (2nd shift) to run two or more NC drilling machines, drill low tolerance holes in panels, and perform NC program loading, panel alignment, and quality inspections to keep output near capacity.

The role requires at least one year in the PCB industry, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to work with minimal supervision; ITAR compliance is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year experience in the printed circuit industry, in Drilling.
• Ability to cooperate and communicate effectively with management and supervisory staff.
• Strong knowledge in military and rigid flex boards.
• ITAR compliance: U.S. citizen, U.S. lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee.

Responsibilities

• Select drills from planning sheet call out.
• Set up drilling machine and make work zero corrections from the 4-point x-rays.
• Operate more than one drill when conditions permit.
• Help others when time allows.
• Remove broken drills and fix shallow drilled holes.
• Clean the drill equipment and work area.
• Log in and out of the Proms computer.
• Empty trashcans and put in proper recycle bin.
