Job summary

PennEngineering® in Winston-Salem, NC, is seeking a Manufacturing Operator to set up, operate, and tend both manual and automated assembly equipment on the production floor.

You will perform changeovers, load materials, monitor quality with calipers and fixtures, document results, and maintain 5S housekeeping while collaborating with team leads and maintenance to meet daily production schedules.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude with ability to understand machine operation.
• Ability to use hand and power tools to assemble components.
• Basic math including measurements and conversions.
• Strong attention to detail and quality consciousness.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
• 1 year of experience operating manual or automatic assembly equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and tend manual assembly machines per work orders and schedules.
• Operate and monitor automated assembly equipment to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Load and unload raw materials, components, and finished parts to and from machines.
• Perform changeovers between product runs, including tooling swaps and adjustments.
• Inspect finished assemblies and maintain production records per work instructions.
