Job summary

The Sherwin-Williams Company is seeking a full-time Customer Service Specialist to support retail and wholesale customers at Store #3265 in Frankfort, IL, with 20% coverage at nearby locations. You will help customers choose the right Sherwin-Williams products, resolve concerns, and maintain store standards.

Minimum requirements include 18+ years, legal work status in the U.S., a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift up to 50–70 lbs.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs on occasion.
• Must be able to work evenings and weekends as scheduled.
• Internal Sherwin-Williams employees must have a rating of at least Meets Expectations (3).
• Internal Sherwin-Williams employees must have completed HR Cloud eLearning courses.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers and determine their needs; answer questions about Sherwin-Williams products and recommend right solutions.
• Resolve customer concerns promptly and ensure maximum client satisfaction.
• Maintain high quality and visual standards of products and store; support sales goals.
• Work at Store #3265 and cover hours at Orland Hills, New Lenox, Homer Glen, and Lockport stores as needed.

Job description

This position is essential to the success of our retail stores. Customer Service Specialists work closely with wholesale and retail customers to determine their needs, answer their questions about Sherwin-Williams products, and recommend the right solutions. Customer Service Specialists are also expected to promptly resolve any customer concerns and ensure maximum client satisfaction as well as stay up-to-date with product features and maintain the high quality and visual standards of the products and store. Customer Service Specialists are tasked with achieving excellent customer service, while consistently meeting the store's sales goals.

Job duties involve contact with customers, which may include minors; and access to cash and other payment methods, electronic equipment, personal information, store merchandise and other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. The individual selected for this role will be expected to work at Store #3265, located at: 20200 LaGrange Road Frankfort, IL 60423. They will also be expected to spend 20% of their time assisting with covering hours at the following locations: Orland Hills Store 3043, New Lenox Store 3398, Homer Glen Store 3430, and Lockport Store 3403.

Pay starts at $19.75

Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
• Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver's License
• Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion
• Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation
• If internal to Sherwin-Williams, you must have received at least a "meets expectations" (3) rating on your most recent performance appraisal
• If internal to Sherwin-Williams, you must have completed all HR Cloud eLearning courses required for your current position

Preferred Qualifications

• Have at least a High School diploma or GED
• Have at least one (1) year of experience working in a delivery, retail, or customer service position
• Have previous work experience selling paint and paint-related products
• Have previous work experience operating tinting and mixing equipment
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish
