Ideal candidates possess a college degree or equivalent, with at least two years of insurance adjusting experience, licensing as required, and strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 2 years insurance adjusting experience in at least two lines of business.
• Licensing as required by state and local jurisdictions; valid driver's license.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good analytical ability and mathematical aptitude.
• Good attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Investigate coverage, liability, compensability and damages with all parties involved.
• Interview claimants and witnesses; establish reserves and obtain reports.
• Negotiate settlements within client parameters and authority levels.
• Present evidence in legal proceedings when required.
• Prepare reports by collecting and summarizing information for clients.
• Maintain knowledge of regulations and Crawford service standards.
