Job Summary

CCMSI is seeking an experienced Multi-Line Claim Supervisor to lead a team managing complex casualty claims within specialized captive insurance programs. This position supports a diverse portfolio of construction, agribusiness, gaming, retail, transportation, and other commercial accounts across the United States.

The successful candidate will provide technical leadership and strategic oversight for claims involving complex liability, coverage interpretation, contractual risk transfer, litigation management, and high-exposure loss scenarios. Claims may include construction liability matters, commercial auto losses, agricultural and crop-related exposures, product and application errors, subcontractor disputes, and other unique risks not typically encountered in traditional casualty programs.

This role requires a strong claims leader who can mentor staff, partner with sophisticated captive members and risk managers, oversee litigation strategy, and ensure exceptional claim outcomes while maintaining strong client relationships.

Ideal Candidate Profile

They bring a strong background in construction, agribusiness, commercial casualty, or captive programs and possess the leadership skills necessary to develop staff while serving as a trusted advisor to clients. This individual is comfortable navigating unique claims such as crop damage, agricultural product failures, application errors, construction defect exposures, subcontractor disputes, complex commercial auto losses, and other specialized casualty matters.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and develop a team of multi-line claim professionals handling complex casualty claims.
  • Provide technical guidance and file oversight on high-exposure, litigated, and coverage-sensitive claims.

  • Provide expertise regarding contractual risk transfer, including indemnification agreements, hold harmless provisions, and additional insured obligations.
  • Review significant exposures and establish appropriate reserving strategies.
  • Partner with defense counsel to develop litigation plans, evaluate settlement opportunities, and drive timely claim resolution.
  • Serve as a primary escalation point for complex claim issues and client concerns.
  • Participate in stewardship meetings, claim reviews, and strategic planning sessions with clients and captive stakeholders.
  • Monitor claim quality, compliance, diary management, reporting requirements, and service commitments.
  • Analyze claim trends and operational metrics to identify opportunities for improved outcomes and efficiency.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop staff through file reviews, training, and performance management.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on staffing, workload balancing, and account strategy.
  • Ensure adherence to CCMSI claim handling standards, client instructions, and applicable regulatory requirements.
