Job Description

Responsible for performing routine exams in either an inpatient and/or outpatient setting in accordance with established protocols for positioning, image quality, and radiation safety. The inpatient setting may also include assignment to specialty areas requiring a radiologic technologist, such as the ED, OR, or Fluoroscopy. Utilizes a variety of specialized equipment to produce radiographic and fluoroscopic images, including scanners, power injectors, computers, and various software programs to enter patient-related information into hospital databases. Contributes to the overall excellence of the department through a commitment to personal excellence in technical and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Work requires a High School diploma or equivalent and ARRT registration, RDMS registration, or CCI certificate in each appropriate work-related modality within twelve months of hire.
• State of New Jersey licensure in Radiology technology as appropriate is required.
• Requires analytical ability to resolve problems using basic specific, mathematical, or technical principles, and in-depth experience-based knowledge.
• Ability to explain clinical, technical, and diagnostic procedures to patients and their families.
