Job summary

84 Lumber is seeking a Multi-Family Estimator in Louisville, KY. The role involves estimating for type 3 and type 5 construction of wood frame multi-story buildings. You will meet with contractors and customers to finalize estimates and complete plans within agreed timeframes.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented with hands-on experience estimating either manually or with approved software. You will also support day-to-day store operations as directed by the Store Manager.

Qualifications

• Ability to review architectural drawings and estimate costs for wood materials and labor.
• Excellent interpretation of plans and ability to create accurate estimates.
• Capable of working with contractors and customers to align on scope and cost.

Responsibilities

• Create material lists for installed sales.
• Assist in material usage alongside estimating.
• Develop scopes of work for subcontracted labor.
• Read plans and generate estimates.
• Meet with customers or implement requested changes.
