Job summary

Clayton Clinical in Central Virginia seeks a Regional Director of Clinical Operations to provide strategic clinical oversight across multiple Skilled Nursing and Long-Term Care facilities. The role emphasizes regulatory compliance and high-quality care delivery, reporting to the regional leadership.

You will partner with Directors of Nursing, drive clinical programs, mentor teams, and monitor performance metrics, while traveling within the region to support facilities and ensure consistency in

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in VA.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Regional Director of Clinical Operations.
• SNF or LTC experience is required.
• Strong understanding of clinical regulations, quality indicators, and compliance.
• Proven leadership abilities with experience supporting multiple facilities.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to travel within the assigned region.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical oversight and support to assigned skilled nursing and long-term care facilities.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and company regulatory standards.
• Partner with facility leadership teams to improve quality measures, clinical programs, and resident outcomes.
• Assist and mentor Directors of Nursing and clinical teams.
• Monitor clinical performance metrics, conduct audits, and implement corrective action plans.
• Support staff development through coaching, training, and hands-on guidance.
• Participate in regional meetings, surveys, quality assurance initiatives, and performance evaluations.
• Foster a culture of professionalism, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
