Job summary

MaxWell Clinic is seeking a seasoned accounting leader to own the full-cycle close across multiple entities. You will design and manage the chart of accounts, reconciliations, and intercompany eliminations while coordinating tax and audits with external CPAs.

You’ll also build and defend unit economics for new concepts and spinouts, and provide timely, decision-ready financial reporting to the CEO and board.

Qualifications

• 5–9 years of accounting experience with at least 2 in a Controller/Accounting Manager role.
• Strong technical foundation in accrual accounting and judgment calls.
• Multi-entity experience or ability to manage across entities.
• Experience building/rewriting close process, chart of accounts, or reporting package.
• Comfortable communicating with CEO and adjusting to changing business needs.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle monthly close across multiple entities, including intercompany transactions and eliminations.
• Manage general ledger, COA design, reconciliations, and accruals.
• Oversee AP, AR, payroll integration, and month-end reporting package.
• Manage cash and 13-week cash forecast.
• Coordinate with external CPAs for tax, reviews, and audits.
