Job Summary

The Multi-Craft Technician, Lead is responsible for leading a group of skilled and general maintenance support technicians for the campus to include Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, Carpentry, and Painting. This position also performs the full range of campus-wide operational maintenance and troubleshooting of multi-craft systems such as electrical and building internal wiring.

Responsibilities
  • Leads team of building construction trade technicians and 3rd party vendors.
  • Provides support for projects involving HVAC, plumbing, painting, masonry, carpentry, cabinetry, drywall installation and repair, and electrical repair.
  • Responsible for the installation and repair of suspended ceilings.
  • Installs and maintains multi-craft systems campus-wide.
  • Supervises on-staff trades to include scheduling, oversight, and quality control work performed.
  • Documents and communicates actions and findings of work orders or projects.
  • May oversee/escort 3rd party vendors.
  • Estimates quantity of materials needed for each project.
  • Operates equipment such as hand tools, shop equipment, aerial man lift, forklift, and backhoes; performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Required

  • High School or GED
  • 4 - 5 years of relevant experience

Preferred

  • 7-10 years building maintenance/multi-trade experience
  • Experience managing team of skilled trades/labor on construction projects
Proposed Salary

45,300 - 56,600

Salary offer will be dependent on candidate's experience and qualifications, internal equity considerations, budget availability, and salary administration guidelines.

  • Demonstrated understanding of construction industry best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to read blueprints and engineered drawings
  • Demonstrated ability to read and understand schematic diagrams
