Job summary

USA SOLVENTUM US LLC in Columbia, MO is seeking a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician to join our Purification & Filtration team. You will support electrical/electronic and mechanical systems, perform preventative maintenance, and assist with new equipment installations.

The role requires an associate degree in a mechanical, electrical, or electronic field (or a HS diploma with 5 years of relevant experience) and willingness to work 2nd or 3rd shift.

Qualifications

• Possess, or be in the last six months of pursuing, an associate degree in a mechanical, electrical or electronic field OR a High School Diploma/GED with 5 years of experience in at least two of the following fields: mechanical, electrical or electronic.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as needed.
• Willingness to work 2nd or 3rd shift and pursue continuing education to stay current with technology.

Responsibilities

• Observe safety procedures and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Perform work directed by a Maintenance supervisor and SWOs.
• Complete preventative maintenance tasks and correct documentation errors.
• Calibrate electrical/electronic and mechanical systems with minimal assistance.
• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate electrical/electronic systems with minimal assistance.
• Install air, water, and electrical systems with minimal guidance.
• Assist with new equipment installations.
• Manage hazardous wastes in compliance with RCRA, labeling materials correctly.
• Communicate clearly in English (spoken and written).

Solventum is seeking Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician candidates to join our Purification & Filtration team in Columbia MO!

• Pay: $34.58 – $40.11 + $1.25 shift differential
• Shift Options: 2nd Shift (3:30pm-11:30pm; Monday – Friday) 3rd Shift (11:30pm – 7:30am; Sunday Night – Friday morning)

Solventum Purification & Filtration business We are pleased to report that Solventum has successfully completed the sale of its Purification & Filtration (P&F) business to Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. (Thermo Fischer).

Please note that this position is scheduled to transfer to a local subsidiary of Thermo Fisher in your country. However, the position is in a country where the transfer of employees to Thermo Fisher is delayed until a later date.

By joining Solventum during this transitional period, you will be able to work alongside an energized and mission-driven team who is experiencing this transition along with you.

Until the transfer is complete, you will be employed by Solventum, and your employment is subject to all applicable terms and conditions as outlined in our employment agreement and company policies.

As a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.

• Observing all safety procedures while maintaining a clean and safe work area.
• Performing work as directed by a Maintenance supervisor (or designee) and outlined by Shop Work Orders (SWOs).
• Completing all assigned preventative maintenance tasks and correct any/all documentation errors.
• Performing all electrical/electronic and mechanical calibrations with minimal assistance.
• Installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating all electrical/electronic systems with minimal assistance.
• Performing installations of air, water, and electrical with minimal guidance.
• Assisting with all aspects of new equipment installations.
• Managing all hazardous wastes in compliance with RCRA requirements, which includes labeling all hazardous material and ensuring proper materials are in each drum/container.
• Possessing the ability to clearly speak, understand, and write in English to communicate effectively in both verbal and written contexts.

Your Skills and Expertise
