Job summary

Welch's is hiring a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician for our North East, PA plant. The role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and processing equipment to keep operations safe, reliable, and efficient.

You will work with electrical systems, PLCs, pneumatics, hydraulics, motors, and pumps, performing preventive maintenance and supporting production teams to reduce downtime.

Qualifications

• At least two years of hands-on machine maintenance and repair experience in a manufacturing or processing environment.
• Experience with electrical systems, PLCs, pneumatics, hydraulics, motors, and mechanical systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to safely work around complex, automated equipment.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to work in a facility that is not temperature controlled.
• The ability to work voluntary and mandatory overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and processing equipment.
• Work with electrical systems, PLCs, pneumatics, hydraulics, motors, pumps, piping, and mechanical systems.
• Maintain plant utilities, refrigeration systems, control panels, and facility equipment.
• Complete preventive maintenance to improve safety, reliability, and equipment performance.
• Work with production teams to solve equipment problems and reduce downtime.
• Install and repair equipment, piping components, controls, and related systems.
• Use a computerized maintenance management system to document work orders, parts, and equipment information.
• Identify root causes and recommend long-term solutions.
• Help train other mechanics on equipment setup and maintenance.
• Follow all safety, food safety, sanitation, and housekeeping requirements.
