Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is hiring a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician for our Olympia, WA corrugated facility. Technicians must provide their own basic tools; specialty tools provided. Eligible for a $1500 retention bonus with staged payouts.

Wage range $37.90–$44.56 per hour and shift flexibility required. Roles involve safety compliance, preventive maintenance, and hands‑on equipment repair across multiple drives and systems.

Qualifications

• At least three (3) years of maintenance experience in industrial, manufacturing, or military settings.
• Experience reading technical drawings and schematics.
• Experience performing preventive maintenance and identifying predictive maintenance needs.
• Experience troubleshooting bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes, conveyors and electrical/mechanical equipment.
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

• Adhering to plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Contribute to meeting production, waste and quality goals through a maintenance program.
• Install and repair mechanical drives, chains, sprockets, gears, belts, and couplings.
• Perform maintenance checks and preventive maintenance safely and timely.
• Research and access equipment manuals and software to support maintenance tasks.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and/or mechanical problems per plant policies.

$1500 retention bonus!

($500 after 90 days of employment, remaining $1,000 after 180 days of employment)

• $37.90 - $44.56 per hour
• Only candidates who are flexible and available to workany shift will be considered.

Shift Hours:

• 1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
• 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM(Monday Night)
• PM shift: 6:00am-4:30pm
• Overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed.

What You Will Do

• Adhering to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures
• Helping to meet or exceed production, waste and quality goals through a quality maintenance program
• Installing and repairing mechanical drives, chains, sprockets, gears, belts, and couplings
• Perform all maintenance checks and preventive maintenance in a safe and timely manner
• Upload/download and research online the necessary software, maintenance and operation manual for equipment pertaining to the business to aid in performing tasks
• Troubleshooting electrical and/or mechanical problems and repairingand maintaining all equipment in accordance with plant policies and procedures
• Reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical schematics
• Completing mechanical and electrical preventive maintenance activities
• Troubleshooting and repairing automated systems with remote technical support

Who you are (Basic Qualifications)

• At least three (3) years of maintenance experience within an industrial, manufacturing, or military environment.
• Experience reading technical drawings and schematics.
• Experience performing preventative maintenance and identifying predictive maintenance of equipment.
• Experience troubleshooting bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes, conveyors and electrical/mechanical equipment.
• Experience working with hydraulic & pneumatic systems.

What Will Put You Ahead

• Experience working with 480-volt motors.
• Experience working in the corrugated industry.
• Electrical Certification, technical schooling earned or other related educational certifications/degrees.
