Job Title

Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician

Overview

This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military experience to a 3M career. The selected candidate will work at the 3M manufacturing plant.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair electronic and mechanical equipment and components.
• Install, upgrade, and calibrate equipment.
• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair hydraulic/pneumatic equipment, gear boxes and pumps.
• Perform basic machining, pipe fitting, millwright, and welding/fabrication tasks.
• Perform preventive maintenance.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
• Complete shop records and use reporting systems following established procedures.
• Use safe work methods and procedures at all times.

Qualifications

Applicants must be 18 years of age or older in compliance with U.S. labor and safety laws.

• High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start).
• Three (3) years of industrial maintenance experience in a private, public, government or military environment.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, on‑call rotation for weekends and holidays, and holidays as needed.

Additional Qualifications

• Possess or have obtained in the last six months a two‑year technical degree in a maintenance or electro‑mechanical field.
• High school diploma/GED (completed prior to start) AND four (4) or more years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.

Testing

All candidates must successfully complete 3M’s Maintenance Battery test.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $33.04/hr–$39.63/hr. This targeted compensation range represents a good faith estimate and can vary based on factors including job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Other benefits and incentives may apply.
