Job summary

3M is seeking a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician for onsite roles in Clarkston, Georgia. This full-time position spans 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts with a starting rate around $38.83/hour and a benefits package that starts on day one, including health, vision and dental.

You will maintain and repair production equipment, troubleshoot complex issues, and adhere to safety standards while contributing to overall plant efficiency and reliability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or higher completed before start.
• Minimum two years of experience as a Skilled Technician.
• Willingness to work on CNC machining centers and supporting equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on production and auxiliary equipment to keep operations running.
• Troubleshoot equipment using blueprints, manuals and internet resources in pneumatics, PLC, hydraulics, welding, and electrical.
• Participate in required safety and regulatory training.
• Follow plant safety rules and wear PPE as required.
• Enter labor time in maintenance work orders with detailed resolutions.
• Proactively resolve issues with minimal daily instruction.

• Performing all the duties of a Maintenance Technician in keeping production and auxiliary equipment operational and processes going
• Troubleshoot difficult equipment issues using blueprints, equipment manuals and internet resources while utilizing an advanced skill set in most of the following areas: pneumatics, PLC, machinery, hydraulics, welding, and electrical.
• Participating in all safety and regulatory training needed to fulfill the duties of the position.
• Follow all plant safety rules and regulations, wear PPE as required per procedures
• Assure labor time is entered in maintenance work orders along with detailed resolution
• Taking initiative to resolve issues while receiving little instruction on daily work and general instructions on newly introduced assignments

Your Skills And Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Possess a High School Diploma / GED or higher (completed prior to start)
• Minimum two (2) years of experience as a Skilled Technician.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Ability to work on CNC machining centers and supporting equipment
• Excellent math skills and complex blueprint reading, drawings, notes, and computer skills
• Qualified in the maintenance and repair of pneumatics, PLC, machinery, welding, and electrical

The starting rate of pay for this position is $38.83 per hour. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
