Job summary

Amcor Flexibles, LLC is seeking a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician to support packaging production on a 2-2-3 schedule with both night and day shifts. You will ensure safety, quality, and uptime by performing skilled and semi-skilled maintenance on facility equipment and systems using CMMS and JD Edwards for parts and work orders.

The role requires prior manufacturing experience, computer literacy, and strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prioritize maintenance with the Maintenance Manager.
• Attend daily pre-shift safety meetings.
• Respond to downtime with timely maintenance to maximize productivity.
• Perform skilled and semi-skilled repairs on facility equipment and structures.
• Use CMMS to track work orders and parts.
• Train other technicians and assist with parts procurement as needed.

• 2-2-3 Schedule: 12-hour shifts,
• Nights, 6:45p.m. - 7:00 a.m.,

Job Description: Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician Whatyou'lldo:

• Interfaces daily with Maintenance Manager to plan and implement work priorities.
• Attends and participates in daily pre-shift safety meetings.
• Performs as the key maintenance resource to the production shift assigned, providing accurate and timely responses to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
• Safely performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled duties related to the maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting and repairing of all facility production equipment, support equipment and structures.
• Uses the company CMMS to schedule, track and log the details of all work issued from the work order system.
• Utilizes the JDE system / scanner to properly sign parts out of the parts roo
• Utilizes the correct PPE as required for the job at hand, and properly uses Lockout / Tagout and other safety systems as required by the company.
• Completes all assigned work in a timely and professional manner, with accuracy and to established standards
• Works directly with vendors and contractors as needed to resolve maintenance related issues within the facility or on the equipment.
• Trains other technicians as needed in tasks where they have high levels of expertise.
• Orders parts and materials as needed to support PM's, projects, etc.
• Completes all required paperwork, filing and purging as needed to maintain accuracy and efficiency

Physical Requirements

• Minimum 3 years industrial maintenance experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience, including a working knowledge of electrical systems (advanced electrical knowledge is highly desired), along with developed mechanical, hydraulics and pneumatics skillsets. Experience with hand and power tools a must. Knowledge in machinery used in flexographic printing and blown film manufacturing highly desired.
• Able to communicate ideas and recommendations to non-technical team members in a clear manner.
• Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
• Able to apply right mathematical methods and formulas to problem solving.
• Able to create alternative solutions to problems.
• High level of sound and independent judgment and reasoning.
• Strong personal and communication skills. Must work well with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to handle multiple projects
• Must have strong computer skills.
