Job summary

Amcor Limited is seeking a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician in Bowling Green, KY. The role focuses on safe, high-quality packaging production with a strong emphasis on teamwork and continuous improvement.

The position offers a 2-2-3 schedule with nights and days, a starting hourly wage plus a night premium, and strong benefits including a 401(k) match and comprehensive health coverage from day one.

Responsibilities

• Interfaces daily with Maintenance Manager to plan and implement work priorities.
• Attends and participates in daily pre-shift safety meetings.
• Performs as the key maintenance resource to the production shift assigned, providing accurate and timely responses to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
• Safely performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled duties related to the maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting and repairing of all facility production equipment, support equipment and structures.
• Uses the company CMMS to schedule, track and log the details of all work issued from the work order system.
• Utilizes the JDE system / scanner to properly sign parts out of the parts room
• Uses correct PPE and follows Lockout/Tagout and safety systems as required.
• Completes all assigned work with accuracy and established standards
• Works with vendors and contractors to resolve maintenance issues
• Trains other technicians as needed
• Orders parts and materials to support PMs and projects
• Completes paperwork and purging to maintain accuracy and efficiency

Job Description: Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician
Whatyou'lldo:

• Interfaces daily with Maintenance Manager to plan and implement work priorities.
• Attends and participates in daily pre-shift safety meetings.
• Performs as the key maintenance resource to the production shift assigned, providing accurate and timely responses to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
• Safely performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled duties related to the maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting and repairing of all facility production equipment, support equipment and structures.
• Uses the company CMMS to schedule, track and log the details of all work issued from the work order system.
• Utilizes the JDE system / scanner to properly sign parts out of the parts roo
• Utilizes the correct PPE as required for the job at hand, and properly uses Lockout / Tagout and other safety systems as required by the company.
• Completes all assigned work in a timely and professional manner, with accuracy and to established standards
• Works directly with vendors and contractors as needed to resolve maintenance related issues within the facility or on the equipment.
• Trains other technicians as needed in tasks where they have high levels of expertise.
• Orders parts and materials as needed to support PM's, projects, etc.
• Completes all required paperwork, filing and purging as needed to maintain accuracy and efficiency

Physical Requirements

• Minimum 3 years industrial maintenance experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience, including a working knowledge of electrical systems (advanced electrical knowledge is highly desired), along with developed mechanical, hydraulics and pneumatics skillsets. Experience with hand and power tools a must. Knowledge in machinery used in flexographic printing and blown film manufacturing highly desired.
• Able to communicate ideas and recommendations to non-technical team members in a clear manner.
• Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
• Able to apply right mathematical methods and formulas to problem solving.
• Able to create alternative solutions to problems.
• High level of sound and independent judgment and reasoning.
• Strong personal and communication skills. Must work well with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to handle multiple projects
• Must have strong computer skills.
