Job summary

Seneca Resources in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Night Shift Multicraft Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain complex equipment including robotics, PLCs, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. This full-time, permanent role requires working nights and overtime as needed.

The position offers a competitive hourly rate of $32–$40, a $5,000 sign-on/stay bonus, and a supportive team focused on safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in heavy manufacturing maintenance.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting with PLCs and schematics.
• Mechanical maintenance with hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Ability to read electrical blueprints and schematics.
• Familiarity with testing/diagnostic equipment such as multimeters.
• Basic AutoCAD skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain equipment including robotics, PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
• Support preventative maintenance and equipment upgrades.
• Conduct root-cause analysis to minimize downtime.
• Ensure maximum production uptime and safety in operations.

In this full-time, permanent role, you will troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain complex equipment including robotics, PLCs, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. Your expertise will be crucial in supporting preventative maintenance, equipment upgrades, root-cause analysis, and ensuring maximum production uptime. Top Requirements

• Extensive experience in heavy manufacturing maintenance
• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills, including reading schematics and working with controls and PLCs
• Mechanical maintenance proficiency, including hydraulics and pneumatics
• Ability to interpret electrical blueprints and technical drawings
• Familiarity with testing and diagnostic equipment such as multimeters
• Knowledge of rigging and basic AutoCAD skills
• Ability to work extended hours and lift up to 40 lbs
