DG Foods, Inc. is seeking an experienced Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician in Bastrop, LA to support our poultry manufacturing operations.

The role involves electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance, with a focus on equipment performance and safety in a fast-paced setting. The ideal candidate has at least one year of maintenance experience in manufacturing, knowledge of 480-volt systems, and is coachable.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Working knowledge of 480-volt electrical systems.
• Must be coachable and able to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be ≥18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S.
• Reliable transportation to DG Foods facilities.
• Ability to work varied hours/holidays/weekends.
• Able to wear all required PPE.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment.
• Assist in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
• Dismantle, assemble, and install industrial machinery.
• Maintain compliance with safety regulations and protect non-maintenance staff in work zones.
• Align with production schedules by adjusting work procedures.
• Recommend improvements to production methods and equipment performance.
• Carry out maintenance tasks as directed by Maintenance Manager and leadership.

Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician

Full Time MAINTENANCE Bastrop, LA, US

Position Summary:

DG Foods is currently looking for experienced and skilled Multi-Craft Maintenance Technicians with broad industrial maintenance experience, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatics, motors, drives, controls, and troubleshooting skills, to help maintain and improve equipment performance in our poultry manufacturing operation. DG Foods has a very aggressive compensation program based on performance. This is a full-time position with the opportunity to participate in our company benefit programs!

Essential Job Functions:

Job duties are as follows, but not limited to:

• Perform electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment. Previous multi-craft industrial experience is required.


• Assists workers in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment.


• Perform tasks in dismantling, assembling, and installing industrial machinery.


• Maintain strict compliance with safety regulations and assurance that non-maintenance employees are not at risk in the work zone.


• Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.


• Demonstrates initiative in recommendation(s) of measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.


• Performs all activities of work assigned to the satisfaction of Maintenance Manager and other top management.


• Skilled in preventive maintenance processes and predictive maintenance procedures


• Knowledge and assistance in Lock Out/ Tag Out procedures.


• Must adhere to attendance and job performance standards in accordance with company policies and procedures.


• Performs other duties as directed.

Job Requirements:

• At least one (1) year of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, including but not limited to programmable logic controllers, mechanical and electrical systems in a manufacturing setting.


• Must have working knowledge of 480-volt electrical systems, motors, wiring, etc.


• You must be coachable because we want you to succeed!


• Must be comfortable with working in a fast-paced manufacturing/production environment.


• At least eighteen (18) years of age.


• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• Must be legally eligible to work in accordance with federal and state law.


• Must have dependable transportation to and from DG Food facilities, no exceptions.


• Must be able to work various hours/holidays/weekends as required.


• Must be able to always wear all required Personal Protective Equipment.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in a cold and wet environment.


• Must be able to work standing for extended periods of time.


• Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds.
