Job summary

Owens Corning is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform reliability-focused maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems within the plant. The role involves preventive/predictive maintenance, equipment repairs, and supporting process improvements.

You will work in a multi-craft environment, supervise others as needed, and interact with management and suppliers to optimize asset performance. Proficiency in English and strong teamwork are essential.

• Must have strong communication and organizational skills.
• Must be able to multi-task and work in team environment.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes machines, equipment and measuring instruments to perform maintenance tasks including alignment, balancing, welding and pipe fitting.
• Performs preventive and predictive maintenance to preserve plant assets.
• Provides leadership and support to other craft and non-craft employees during maintenance tasks.
• Cares for lubrication and operational maintenance of machinery and equipment.
• Trains trainees and other craft personnel as related to craft work.
• Acts as liaison to management and suppliers; supports development and experimental projects.
• Uses SAP, work orders and inventory data to develop failure and trend reports and maintain records.
• Performs basic electrical repairs and supports PLC-related activities as needed.
• Ensures safety, housekeeping and environmental standards are followed; participates in improvements.
