Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician at our Trey facility in West Chester, OH. You will support safe operation and equipment reliability through troubleshooting and preventive and corrective maintenance.

The role requires mechanical and electrical expertise, with experience in installing and servicing motors up to 480V, gear drives, belts, bearings, and conveyors. Shifts include extended hours, overtime, and weekends, with orientation on 1st shift for two weeks.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience as Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience installing and troubleshooting electric motors up to 480V and electrical components (relays, switches, drives, input/output cards).
• Experience troubleshooting bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes and conveyors.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing hydraulics, fluid, steam, and pneumatics.
• Experience reading and interpreting electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting, installing, aligning, dismantling, repairing, and maintaining industrial machinery and mechanical equipment for improved reliability.
• Perform routine scheduled preventative maintenance.
• Respond to unscheduled floor calls, troubleshoot, and perform repairs with a sense of urgency.
• Work in collaboration with a knowledgeable maintenance team and communicative leadership.
• Work with industrial machinery to inspect, repair or analyze mechanical, pneumatic, or hydraulic components.
• Use hand tools, power tools, precision-measuring devices, testing instruments.
• Support our safe working environment by adhering to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE.
• Willing and able to work any shift, holiday, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• Critically problem-solve with team members to solve complicated and challenging problems.
