Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Software Engineer (MTS) in San Francisco to join the Platform Engineering team within Cloud Infrastructure. You will build and operate core platform services in Go/Python, manage Kubernetes clusters across AWS/Azure/GCP/OCI, and contribute to GitOps pipelines and CI/CD while embracing an agentic mindset and AI-assisted engineering from day one.

Qualifications

2–4 years of professional experience in cloud infrastructure engineering and CD.
Hands-on Kubernetes experience—deploying, troubleshooting, and automating workloads.
Strong Go and/or Python skills building services or automation tooling.
Multi-cloud exposure, primarily AWS, with core compute, networking, IAM, and Kubernetes.
Familiarity with Flux/Argo CD and Pulumi or Terraform for IaC.
AI literacy and an emerging agentic mindset in daily engineering work.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain platform services and automation in Go and Python for Kubernetes across AWS/Azure/GCP/OCI.
Contribute to CD pipelines using GitOps tooling and IaC frameworks to enable safe, repeatable releases.
Participate in fleet initiatives like cluster lifecycle automation and observability improvements.
Partner with SRE, security, and product teams to deliver self‑service platform capabilities.
Use AI tools in daily workflows to amplify output and reduce manual toil.
Join design and code reviews and produce clear technical docs.
Assist on-call rotations to improve platform reliability and incident learning.
