Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or client accounting services experience.
• Prior experience in a CPA firm, tax office, or bookkeeping role preferred.
• Strong general ledger, accounts payable, reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Experience with payroll processing and sales/payroll tax filings preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel; QuickBooks experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounts payable for multiple clients, including invoicing and payments.
• Perform monthly/quarterly write-ups, bank reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts for accurate reporting.
• Assist with client bookkeeping and month-end close activities.
• Prepare and file sales tax returns and payroll tax filings as needed.
• Process payroll and maintain payroll-related records for client accounts.
• Reconcile bank, credit card, loan, and balance sheet accounts.
• Review client records and follow up on discrepancies.
• Assist with year-end accounting and tax preparation support.
• Communicate professionally with clients regarding records and inquiries.
• Support partners with special projects and maintain documentation per procedures.
