Lotus Learning Center, an emergent and play-based early childhood program in the East Nashville, North Nashville, and Madison area, seeks a Multi-Classroom Floater Teacher. You will help create a safe, joyful learning environment and support Lead and Assistant Teachers throughout the day.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma; CDA is preferred, with 1–2 years’ experience. CPR/First Aid certification and the ability to lift 40 pounds are required, and a background health screening is

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; CDA credential preferred.
• 1–2 years of professional child care experience preferred.
• Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certification.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and pass background health screening.

Responsibilities

• Supervise toddlers and preschool-age children during breaks or absences.
• Form nurturing, responsive relationships with children.
• Engage with children to foster joy in learning.
• Safely prepare and deliver snacks to classrooms.
• Maintain kitchen hygiene and safety per licensing rules.
• Collaborate with closing team for daily cleaning and prep.
• Monitor indoor and outdoor learning environments for safety.
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development.

This position reports to the Program Director.

Employment Type

Full-time (Monday to Friday) - 10:00 to 6:00 shift

About Us

Lotus Learning Center is a new early childhood program in the East Nashville, North Nashville, and Madison area.

What You'll Do

• Supervise toddlers and preschool-age children during Lead and Assistant Teachers' breaks or absences
• Form nurturing and responsive relationships with children
• Meaningfully engage with children to foster joy in learning
• Safely and efficiently prepare and deliver snacks to classrooms
• Maintain hygiene and safety of kitchen in according with state licensing requirements
• Collaborate with closing team to complete daily cleaning tasks & prepare the center for the upcoming day
• Monitor indoor and outdoor learning environments for safety and cleanliness
• Participate in and contribute to staff meetings and opportunities for professional development

Requirements

• High School Diploma (required) and Child Development Associate (CDA) credential (preferred)
• 1-2 years of professional child care experience (preferred)
• Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certification
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
• Must clear full background check and pass health screening
