Job summary

The University of Rio Grande/Rio Grande Community College seeks a Maintenance & Grounds Technician to perform routine and preventive maintenance across five Rio campuses. The role includes building and grounds upkeep, event support, equipment operation, and occasional snow removal, with travel to Jackson, McArthur, Piketon, Pomeroy, and Rio Grande (OH).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 1–2 years related experience.
• Must have valid Driver’s License and ability to use snowplow blade.
• Willing to travel to multiple campuses and work flexible hours.
• Ability to operate power equipment and perform routine maintenance.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily work orders and assignments as directed by supervisors.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.
• Maintain tools and equipment in proper operating condition.
• Operate lawn and maintenance equipment and assist with campus events.
• Maintain maintenance records and assist with campus improvement projects.
