Job summary

Virtual Assistant Team is seeking a Social Media and Content Specialist to develop and coordinate digital content across eight brands. You will collaborate with the Marketing Manager to implement the strategy and with the Creative & Design Specialist to produce engaging, on-brand material.

You will manage social accounts, build content calendars, write captions, and repurpose content for blogs, newsletters, and website copy. The role requires 1–3 years of experience and a relevant degree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in social media, content marketing, digital marketing, or communications.
• Strong writing and copywriting skills.
• Experience managing social media platforms.
• Understanding of social media trends and best practices.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage content for multiple brands simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Manage social media accounts across eight companies.
• Develop and maintain social media content calendars.
• Schedule and publish approved content.
• Monitor comments, messages, and audience engagement.
• Research social media trends and platform updates.
• Ensure content is appropriate for each company’s target audience.
• Write social media captions and marketing copy.
• Develop content pillars and recurring content themes.
• Repurpose company news, projects, services, and resources into content.
• Assist with blog articles, newsletters, email content, and website copy where required.
• Develop concepts, scripts, and storyboards for short-form video content.
• Coordinate with the eight companies to collect project information, photos, and updates.
• Maintain an organized content library.
• Turn content concepts into visual assets with the Creative & Design Specialist.
• Ensure content is reviewed and approved before publishing.
• Monitor social media performance and key metrics.
• Assist with monthly reporting.
