Job summary

Adams-Construction-Company in Virginia is seeking a professional truck driver to operate multi-axle highway equipment with a Class B CDL. You will load, transport and unload construction materials, follow delivery schedules and communicate with other drivers to meet job specifications and timetables.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, a valid CDL with endorsements, a valid DOT physical, an acceptable driving record and at least one year of driving experience with references.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Possess a Class “B” commercial license with proper endorsements.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
• Must have a valid DOT physical.
• Must successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) drug screen, background check.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maneuver equipment to load, transport and unload construction materials and other related equipment by manipulating gears and attachments.
• Follow schedule for pickup and delivery of materials and verify types and weights.
• Communicate with other equipment operators and truck drivers to ensure deliveries meet specifications and timetables.
• Keep truck clean and in good working order.
• Drivers are responsible for minor repairs and servicing of assigned equipment to maintain safety and operation.
