Job summary

Technique is seeking a 3D Laser Technician (Multi-Axis Laser) in Jackson, Michigan to join our precision sheet metal and welded assemblies team. This role reports to the 3D Laser Manager and requires fast, accurate decisions in high-speed laser cutting operations.

From general operator duties to Level 1 technician competencies, you will work with blueprints, fixture setup, program management, and troubleshooting while upholding strict safety practices and the ability to work overtime when needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to make fast and accurate decisions about production and multi-axis laser equipment.
• Strong understanding of materials, tolerances, and 6-axis laser cutting techniques.
• Commitment to safe work practices and compliance with safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Work safely and follow defined safety procedures.
• Maintain flexible work schedule and overtime as required.
• Perform general labor and load parts into machines.
• Set fixtures, run programs, and troubleshoot basic alarms.
• Read blueprints and understand job paperwork.
