Qualifications

  • Experience teaching students with language-based learning differences preferred.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to train in highly specialized approaches to teaching students with language-based learning differences.
  • Desire to teach multicultural curriculum.

Responsibilities

  • Teach 5 sections of Multi-Arts (Physical Education – optional visual arts).
  • Apply a multisensory, diagnostic, prescriptive approach to instruction.
  • Create and deliver lesson plans tailored to student needs.
  • Offer an after-school activity (M-Th 3:10-4:45pm) with stipend.
  • Perform other duties as required (lunch, break, drop off/pick up supervision).

Position Summary:

The Carroll School seeks teaching candidates with experience and/or interest in movement (Fitness/Physical Education and/or visual arts and design (Studio Art/Makerspace/Photography/other)

  • Teach 5 sections of Multi-Arts (Physically Education–optionality for visual arts)
  • Apply a multisensory, diagnostic, prescriptive approach to instruction
  • Create and deliver lesson plans specific to student’s needs
  • Offer an after-school activity (M-Th 3:10-4:45pm) (with stipend)
  • Perform other duties as required (student supervisory duties: lunch, break, drop off/pick up as scheduled)
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree preferred
  • Have the ability to teach using multi-sensory education methods
  • Willingness to train in highly specialized approaches to teaching students with language based learning differences
  • Desire to teach multicultural curriculum
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills
  • Minimum of 3 years teaching experience preferred

Exact salary offered is dependent on educational credentials and years of experience.

1-10 years $60,100-$80,441

11-25 years $79,208-$102,157
