We are seeking a seasoned Integration Technical Architect to serve on our Professional Services team, guiding customers through MuleSoft‑based integration solutions while mentoring internal teams and influencing product direction.
Role Summary
As an Integration Technical Architect, you will be a subject‑matter expert and mentor, leading Enterprise‑grade hybrid integration, API management, and infrastructure strategies for key customers, while coaching internal teams.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead and govern the design of complex, multi‑phased MuleSoft integration projects, ensuring adherence to API‑led connectivity and integration patterns.
- Identify opportunities and efficiencies in customers’ IT operating models and support implementation of the SDLC pipeline.
- Define and scale enterprise integration best practices, reference architectures, foundational assets, and API patterns to drive platform adoption and reuse.
- Establish and enforce DevOps models, CI/CD pipelines, and operational standards, including monitoring, alerting, and full API lifecycle management.
Key Deliverables
- Scale best practices globally through reusable assets, reference architectures, and implementations.
- Enable field teams and partners to boost delivery and customer success.
- Lead requirements workshops and deliver architectural blueprint documents to influence the strategic direction of projects.
- Guide product direction and feature delivery by identifying gaps and providing valuable insights to leadership.
Leadership and Collaboration
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to client executives and internal sales/delivery teams throughout the pre‑sales and project delivery lifecycle.
- Mentor and coach junior architects, engineers, and consultants on technical design principles, implementation strategies, and customer‑facing best practices.
- Drive decision‑making for complex technical challenges, balancing scope, time‑to‑market, and technical debt across integration solutions.
- Engage with MuleSoft Product Management and Engineering to relay field feedback and influence the platform’s future roadmap.
Required Qualifications
- Active Secret level security clearance.
- 10+ years of IT experience, including 5+ years leading complex integration and solution architecture initiatives.
- 2+ years of hands‑on MuleSoft experience or equivalent, including expertise in API‑led connectivity and integration patterns.
- Proficiency in HA, scalability, SDLC, and full API lifecycle management.
- Experience architecting enterprise‑grade technical solutions and supporting business case justification to C‑level executives.
- Strong customer‑facing communication and expectation‑management skills.
- Experience managing multiple integration projects end‑to‑end, sometimes simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability with MuleSoft and other integration solutions (e.g., IBM, BEA, Oracle Fusion, TIBCO, Dell Boomi, Progress Sonic).
- Knowledge of API security principles, including authentication, authorization, and security policies.
- U.S. citizen, no dual citizenship; willing to complete a federal background investigation for a Moderate Public Trust position.
Preferred Skills
- Expertise in full API lifecycle management, SDLC, microservices, and related architecture patterns (Service Mesh, Serverless).
- Mastery of MuleSoft Anypoint Platform features (API Management, Exchange, Flex Gateway).
- Experience conducting technical workshops with clients to derive value‑added services.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, FISMA, HIPAA, SOX) and relevant certifications (CKA, CISSP, CISM, Security+).
- Multi‑cloud proficiency (AWS, Azure, GCP) and DevOps practices (Git, Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, CI/CD).
- Strong networking and infrastructure knowledge, including TCP/IP, HTTP, VPN, DNS, SSL/TLS, and load balancing technologies.
- Proficiency in at least two programming languages (Bash, Go, Python, Ruby, node.js, Rust, Java) and experience with RDBMS, NoSQL, and time‑series databases.
