Job summary

Ascendion is seeking a senior MuleSoft integration architect to design, develop, and govern API-led connectivity across cloud and on-prem environments. You will lead the integration of MuleSoft APIs with Salesforce AgentForce, enabling AI-driven decision making and real-time data flows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of integration development experience.
• 8+ years of hands-on MuleSoft development experience.
• Strong expertise in MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, DataWeave 2.0, REST/SOAP APIs, Microservices and cloud integration.
• Experience working with Salesforce ecosystem and AgentForce / AI-driven agents.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy APIs and integrations using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
• Implement API-led connectivity architecture (Experience, Process, System APIs).
• Develop reusable integration assets, frameworks, and accelerator components.
• Manage API lifecycle using Anypoint Exchange, API Manager, and Runtime Manager.
• Perform performance tuning, debugging, and optimization of Mule applications.
• Ensure adherence to security, governance, and best practices.
• Integrate MuleSoft APIs with Salesforce AgentForce (AI agents, workflows, copilots).
• Enable real-time and event-driven data flows to support AI-driven decision-making.
• Design and implement automation workflows triggered by agent interactions.
• Collaborate with Salesforce teams to orchestrate APIs for AI-powered customer service/operations.
• Support conversational integrations (chat, voice, digital assistants).
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Define integration patterns (sync/async, event-driven, batch processing).
• Design secure and resilient system integrations across cloud/on-prem systems.
• Create technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and API specifications.
• Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews.

Required Qualifications

Microservices and cloud integration

Experience working with Salesforce ecosystem

Hands-on exposure to AgentForce / AI-driven agents / conversational platforms

Strong understanding of:

OAuth, JWT, security frameworks

Preferred Qualifications

MuleSoft certifications:

MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect (MCIA) - preferred

Experience with:
