Job summary

SLB is seeking a Mud Logging Analyst to support well-site operations in the United States. You will ensure sample integrity, analyze data, and report findings in the End of Well Report and formation evaluation logs.

You will communicate critical information on well control and integrity to client representatives, maintain volume balance, and assist in core recovery and description, while upholding safety and confidentiality at the well site.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Geology or related earth sciences.
  • Previous mud logging/ mud logging analyst experience preferred but not required.
  • Field-work experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of drilling equipment and techniques.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Candidates must be legally eligible to work in the US.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure sample integrity; analyze, interpret, and report in End of Well Report and log information for client.
  • Communicate with client representatives about well control and well integrity during operations.
  • Maintain and analyze the volume balance sheet during well-site operations.
  • Alert Data Analyst to any discrepancies in formation evaluation or gas analyses.
  • Assist in core recovery and core description as needed.
  • Ensure safe operation and adherence to client and safety regulations.
  • Coach and support Sample Catchers and other well-site staff.
