Job summary

SLB in Louisiana is seeking a GSS Mud Logging Analyst to deliver safe, efficient product service delivery at the wellsite. You will monitor equipment, maintain data acquisition, and provide high-quality data to clients while identifying opportunities for service improvements.

Qualifications

• University degree in Geology or Earth Sciences or related field is required.
• Experience as a Mud Logger / Mud Logging Analyst is preferred but not essential with relevant degree.
• Knowledge of drilling equipment and techniques is beneficial.
• Excellent computer skills are expected.

Responsibilities

• Ensure sample integrity, analyze, interpret, and report in the End of Well Report.
• Communicate information on well control and integrity to client representatives.
• Maintain and analyze the volume balance sheet during wellsite operations.
• Alert Data Analyst to any discrepancies in formation evaluation or gas analysis.
• Assist in detection of potential well control situations and monitor safety during operations.
• Design the formation evaluation log according to client formats.
• Follow safety regulations and client-specific procedures at the wellsite.
• Suggest improvements to service quality and communicate opportunities to the Data Analyst.
• Interact with other service personnel and client representatives to prevent wellbore issues.
• Provide technical advice on core recovery and description.
• Assist with rigging up/down mud logging equipment and support team members.
• Maintain client data confidentiality and support Sample Catchers.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
