Job summary

Unionville-Chadds Ford School District’s Patton Middle School in Kennett Square, PA, is seeking an MTSS Specialist (Pending Board Approval) to lead MTSS processes, provide targeted interventions, and support students, teachers, and families. Available August 31, 2026.

Requires Reading Specialist PK-12 and Special Education PK-12 certifications, a bachelor’s degree in education, three years of classroom experience, and strong data-analysis and collaboration skills. PA clearances are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education required (Master’s preferred).
• Valid PA teaching certification in Reading Specialist and/or Special Education preferred.
• Minimum of three years of successful classroom teaching.
• Deep understanding of evidence-based reading research and literacy instruction.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted, evidence-based interventions for struggling students in reading and math.
• Collaborate with teachers to align interventions with instruction and data.
• Deliver professional development to staff and lead MTSS initiatives.
• Administer and interpret literacy assessments and monitor progress.
• Analyze school-wide data to guide instructional decisions and program development.
• Maintain records of assessments and interventions and communicate progress to stakeholders.
