Suburban Cook County Online Application Consortium is seeking an Attendance Specialist to implement a comprehensive, data-driven attendance intervention program. The role focuses on reducing chronic absenteeism and ensuring equitable access to education for students across the district.

You will identify at-risk students, monitor attendance patterns, communicate with families, and coordinate targeted interventions within the MTSS framework.

Qualifikationen

• Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal and problem-solving skills are required.
• Experience with school-age children, families, and student support services.
• Ability to maintain accurate and confidential student attendance records.
• Ability to analyze attendance data to guide interventions.
• Experience working independently within a multidisciplinary team.

Aufgaben

• Monitor daily attendance to identify unexplained absences and at-risk students.
• Engage with students and families; conduct home visits as appropriate.
• Develop individualized attendance improvement plans and coordinate interventions.
• Collaborate with administrators, teachers, counselors, social workers, and community agencies.
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for MTSS-related activities.
