Job summary

FastTek Global in Irvine, CA seeks an MTS Tester to support development, testing, release, and integration of software and hardware activities. You will integrate hardware and software, perform system tests, document results, and assist in regression testing across IFE systems.

A strong technical background, Unix/Linux familiarity, and solid communication skills are essential. The role requires planning activities, executing test plans, and troubleshooting issues across engineering teams.

Qualifications

• A technical background in development and test.
• Familiar with Unix and Linux OS and basic Linux admin concepts.
• Ability to plan engineering activities to perform tasks.
• Adhere to company policies and resolve routine issues.
• Apply existing practices to analyze situations or data.
• Strong writing and communication skills.
• Proficient in English, both in person and on the phone.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Hardware and software integration of new and/or existing systems and LRUs.
• Integration test of system functionality.
• Documentation and submission of all testing activities.
• Maintain test rack configurations for system installations and testing.
• Assist in software release testing and regression testing.
• Support engineering efforts company-wide as required.
• Develop test plans and procedures to validate system requirements.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and analyze root causes.
• Act as focal point for integration and problem investigation.
