Job summary

FastTek Global in Irvine, CA is seeking an MTS Tester to assist in development, testing, release, and integration of software and hardware activities for IFE systems.

You will perform hardware and software integration, execute integration tests, maintain test racks, document results, and support engineering across the organization. The role requires a technical background, Linux/Unix familiarity, and strong written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Sciences, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 0-3 years experience in software/system engineering development and/or software/hardware testing.
• IFE and/or Avionics industry experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute test plans, scenarios, scripts or procedures.
• Test system modifications to prepare for implementation.
• Develop testing programs that addresses areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, or usability.
• Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers.
• Identify, analyze and document problems with program function, output, online screen or content.
• Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes.
• Create or maintain databases of known test defects.
• Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates.
