Job summary

AMD Design, LLC, a subsidiary of Advanced Micro Devices, Inc., is hiring an MTS Software Development Engineer to design, develop, test, and release OS-level software for semiconductor operations. You will work across design, process, manufacturing, test, quality, and marketing to ensure product readiness for production and distribution.

Must have a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in CS/CE/EE or related field and 2 years of related experience, with proficiency in Python, Git, Linux, and C++-style

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role.
• Alternate combination of education and experience: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent plus five (5) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience.
• Position requires two (2) years of experience in the following: hardware, software, and graphics IP verification; Unix or Linux environments; Python; Git; data structures; Linux or Windows internals; server systems; virtualization; object-oriented design; multi-threading; OS development and open-source software development; software debugging (macOS, Linux, or Unix); and Golang.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test operating systems-level software for semiconductor operations.
• Integrate content and release test programs to high volume manufacturing on next-generation AMD microprocessors.
• Collaborate with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality, and marketing as products move to production and distribution.
