Job summary

AMD, Inc. is hiring a MTS Silicon Design Engineer to research, design, develop, and test electronic components and ASICs for semiconductor manufacturing, applying knowledge of electronic theory.

You will lead verification efforts, define interfaces, optimize power, timing, and place-and-route considerations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable AMD products.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
• Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering position.
• Alternate combination of education and experience: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent and five (5) years of experience.
• Position requires three (3) years of experience in the following: hardware verification; Verilog, System Verilog, or VHDL; System Verilog with UVM/AVM; C, C++, or Python; CPU/GPU/SoC architecture; pre-silicon verification.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, develop, and test electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing.
• Oversee definition, design, verification, and documentation for ASIC development.
• Define architecture design, logic design, and system simulation; debug test failures.
• Lead development of multidimensional designs including IC layout; evaluate process flows.
• Review coverage metrics and ensure tests meet coverage requirements.
• Collaborate with RTL engineers and cross-functional teams on ASIC/layout design.
