Job summary

The MTP Tribal Program Manager role, based in Olympia, serves as a statewide policy expert for Washington State Health Care Authority’s Medicaid Transformation Project initiatives affecting Tribal Nations and Indian health care providers.

This telework-eligible position leads development and implementation of health care improvement initiatives, manages complex rule promulgation, and ensures compliance with state and federal requirements, reporting to the Office of Tribal Affairs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of policy research and analysis experience; or 8 years of
  • Two years of experience working with or for Tribes and/or Indian health care providers
  • Ability to analyze and communicate information in multiple formats and collaborate with diverse stakeholders
  • Knowledge of the Indian health care system and understanding of health care as a treaty right (preferred)
  • Knowledge of the 1115 waiver (preferred)

Job description

The MTP Tribal Program Manager serves as a statewide policy expert for the Washington State Health Care Authority's Medicaid Transformation Project initiatives affecting Tribal Nations and Indian health care providers.
