Job summary

Card Kingdom, Inc. seeks a part-time Community Host to run in-store Magic: The Gathering events and other gaming gatherings in Portland, OR. You will engage customers, showcase demos, and build relationships across gaming communities, guided by Store Managers and Shift Leads.

The role emphasizes hosting engaging, world-class gaming experiences, coordinating weekly or monthly events, and maintaining a welcoming store environment for players of all levels.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong knowledge of board games, miniatures, RPGs and MTG.
• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work hours of operation.

Responsibilities

• Host in-store demos and events for customers.
• Encourage attendance and build relationships within gaming communities.
• Collaborate with Shift Lead to create weekly/monthly events.
• Maintain neat tournament spaces and communicate attendance and feedback.
• Teach games to groups of varying experience levels.
