Job summary

McWane, Inc. in Campbellsville, KY, is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform inspections of vessels and products, collect data, and monitor production quality. You will conduct line and equipment audits and ensure compliance with safety and environmental guidelines.

  • Perform line and/or equipment audits to monitor production performance.
  • Inspect and test cylinders for visual or structural defects.
  • Monitor the finished products to ensure quality meets specifications.
  • Identify opportunities to improve safety, environmental, and process performance.
  • Follow all EHS guidelines and procedures.
  • Read, understand, and follow the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and EHS Work Instructions.
  • Report unsafe conditions or incidents promptly to supervisor or management.
  • Shut down the process if unsafe.
  • Follow proper machine shutdown procedures.

Education

High school diploma or GED
1-year related experience and/or training
Equivalent combination of education and experience

Job Description

  • Performs random and scheduled online inspections of vessels and products produced at manufacturing facility.
  • Collects and records the required relevant data and input into charts or other shared tracking methods when required.
  • Performs line and/or equipment audits to monitor production performance.
  • Inspect and test cylinders for visual or structural defects.
  • Monitor the finished products obtained to ensure the quality conforms to the specifications.
  • Look for opportunities to get involved in safety, environmental, process changes and overall improvement efforts.
  • Follow all EHS guidelines and applicable procedures.
  • Read, understand, and follow the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and EHS Work Instructions.
  • Report any unsafe conditions or incidents in a timely manner to their supervisor or any member of management.
  • Shut down process if unsafe.
  • Follow proper machine shutdown procedures.

  • At least one year of experience in quality control preferred.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and
  • Must attend, complete, and implement required in-house training.

Additional Information

Shift: M-Th 6:00am-4:30pm EST
