Job summary

Manchester Tank is seeking a production supervisor to champion McWane Way values and guide the production team toward reliable, safe, and efficient output. You will set objectives, direct daily activities, and ensure conforming products are produced consistently.

Job Description

Responsibilities: Including the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

  • A Champion of McWane Way values and principles with the ability to drive the same through production team members.
  • Formulates and maintains production objectives and coordinates objectives with procedures to maximize production reliability, repeatability, and efficiency.
  • Direct team members engaged in production activities to ensure the continuous production of conforming products in the most efficient and safe manner possible.
  • Interviewing and training team members.
  • Manage team members in planning, decision-making, facilitating, and process improvement; make oneself available to management and support staff.
  • Follow, observe, coach, and enforce all policies, safety policies, and procedures; report potentially unsafe conditions; use equipment and materials properly.
  • Appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining team members, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
  • Oversee team's time and attendance.
  • Looks for opportunities to get involved in safety, environmental, process changes, and overall improvement efforts.
  • Follow all EHS guidelines and applicable procedures.
  • Read, understand, and follow the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and EHS Work Instructions.
  • Report any unsafe conditions or incidents in a timely manner to a member of management.
  • Shut down process if unsafe.
  • Follow proper machine shutdown procedures.
  • Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university; or two to four years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Salary Range: $62,000-$72,000 annually.
